The July 21, 2008 issue of The New Yorker features a cover that will make Obama supporters cringe.
The cover Barack Obama in a turban as he fist-bumps his gun-slinging wife, Michelle.
The American flag burns in their fireplace, while a photo of Osama bin Laden hangs on the wall.
The New Yorker intends it as a satirical commentary on misinformation and scare tactics, according to Politico.com.
But I’d say mission not accomplished. The enduring impression will be made by the cover itself.
