Nobody Came to the Party in the Democrat House

Nancy Pelosi was historic in her ascension as the first woman Speaker of the House. Too bad her story doesn’t end there.
Since then, it’s been pretty much downhill.
Back on April 24, 2006, Nancy Pelosi stated, “Democrats have a commonsense plan to help bring down skyrocketing gas prices by cracking down on price gouging, rolling back the billions of dollars in taxpayer subsidies, tax breaks and royalty relief given to big oil and gas companies, and increasing production of alternative fuels.”
No commonsense plan has been revealed since Nancy and her fellow Democrats took over Congress.
Actually, nothing of note has happened after all of this time.
Not surprisingly, approval ratings for Congress are at an all time low - in the single digits!
So anyway, Nancy Pelosi had a new book published two days ago, “Know Your Power: A Message to America’s Daughters.”
It’s currently ranked at #986 in Amazon. In other words, literally nobody is buying the story she’s trying to sell this time around.
Is it any wonder Obama’s poll numbers are slipping.
The American people understand that when all you can deliver are “just words” everybody loses.

Barack Obama Plays the Race Card, Again
Obama is trying to sell the story that Republicans are using scare tactics to dissuade people from voting for him.
Just like Obama did on Friday, June 20 at a Florida fund-raiser, Barack Obama proclaimed that Republicans will make the Presidential contest about race.
Despite the fact that race hasn’t played a role in the McCain campaign, Obama continues to cry wolf.
“Nobody thinks that Bush and McCain have a real answer to the challenges we face. So what they’re going to try to do is make you scared of me. You know, he’s not patriotic enough, he’s got a funny name, you know, he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.”
Aside from the gaffe where Obama seems to think more than one president is on dollar bills (note to Obama supporters, only George Washington is on dollar bills), he’s playing the race card with his invented scenario about McCain comparing his look to George Washington and all the other presidents on dollar bills.
Maybe Obama isn’t talking about race when says “he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.”
Is it the powdered wig thing that sets him apart? The male pattern baldness on George? Maybe the frilly shirt he is wearing in the portrait?

The Obama Theme by Ludacris
Rapper Ludacris, who Barack Obama likes to listen to on his iPod, has a new ditty called “Politics: Obama Is Here,” where he lashes out at Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and President Bush.
Very progressive and artistic lyrics referring to Hillary as a bit** and Bush as mentally handicapped, as well as musing “McCain don’t belong in ANY chair unless he’s paralyzed.”

McCain Takes 4 Point Lead Over Obama
The USA Today/Gallup revealed the results yesterday of their latest poll where John McCain is leading Barack Obama by four points.
The tally has John McCain at 49 percent to Obama’s 45 percent among likely voters.
Last month, the same poll had McCain trailing by six points to the neophyte U.S. senator.
So, expect the Obama camp to say polls don’t matter (unless another one comes out where he’s leading).
Barack Obama is the Messiah
The New Yorker doesn’t have a corner on the market when it comes to Barack Obama satire.
The Times Online published an entertaining article mocking the Messianic coverage of Barack Obama in Europe.
And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness.
The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow.
When he was twelve years old, they found him in the temple in the City of Chicago, arguing the finer points of community organisation with the Prophet Jeremiah and the Elders. And the Elders were astonished at what they heard and said among themselves: “Verily, who is this Child that he opens our hearts and minds to the audacity of hope?”
In the great Battles of Caucus and Primary he smote the conniving Hillary, wife of the deposed King Bill the Priapic and their barbarian hordes of Working Class Whites.
And so it was, in the fullness of time, before the harvest month of the appointed year, the Child ventured forth - for the first time - to bring the light unto all the world.

Obama is Too Busy for His Muslim Brother
Barack Obama is meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown today, but his schedule doesn’t seem to permit a visit with his brother, Bernard Obama, while in the UK.
You’d think a get together would be in order for the two brothers, but perhaps Barack is a little gun shy about the association with his Muslim sibling.
Media Donations Favor Democrats 100-1
Investor’s Business Daily documents the extreme liberal bias in the media by examining political donations by media folks.
By analyzing federal records, Investor’s Business Daily reveals a great disparity in the amount of money journalists contributed so far this election cycle to each party.
The contributions add up to $315,533 to Democrats and $22,656 to Republicans — most of that to Ron Paul, who was supported by many liberals as a stalking horse to John McCain, a la Rush Limbaugh’s Operation Chaos with Hillary and Obama.
What is truly remarkable about the list is that, discounting contributions to Paul and Rudy Giuliani, who was a favorite son for many folks in the media, the totals look like this: $315,533 to Democrats, $3,150 to Republicans (four individuals who donated to McCain).
Let me repeat: $315,533 to Democrats, $3,150 to Republicans — a ratio of 100-to-1. No bias there.
And the scribes at the New York Times have recently been forbidden from making political donations.
So the list would have an even greater imbalance if they Times crew were free to flaunt their political proclivities.
Obama is the David Hasselhoff of Politics
You may be wondering what Barack Obama and David Hasselhoff have in common. Well, the Hoff is undoubtedly a better driver and lifeguard, but it might be a draw when it comes to singing.
Anyhow, they’re both huge in Germany, and they each have made dubious contributions to the U.S.
Today, Obama drew cheers during his field trip to Germany where he pronounced, “‘I come to Berlin as so many of my countrymen have come before. Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen — a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world.”
But while he takes that stance in front of the Germans, Barack Obama is strictly a candidate when it comes to dealing with his fellow Americans.
Sen. Barack Obama scrapped plans to visit wounded members of the armed forces in Germany as part of his overseas trip, a decision his spokesman said was made because the Democratic presidential candidate thought it would be inappropriate on a campaign-funded journey.
The spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said Thursday that Obama made his decision out of respect for the servicemen and women.
Inappropriate to squeeze time in his tour to visit wounded troops?
Barack Obama thinks it’s inappropriate to visit the wounded armed forces out of respect for them?
I would hope “a proud citizen of the United States” would want to visit our troops.
Disgusting. Offensive. Expected.
