Obama’s Uncle Liberated Auschwitz

May 27, 2008 · Filed Under News ·

I just saw on the Hot Air blog that Obama stated on Memorial Day that his uncle helped to liberate Auschwitz.

Maybe he can win the Jewish vote in Florida after all.

Barack Obama and Bumper Sticker Politics

May 26, 2008 · Filed Under Opinion ·

I keep hearing how Obama wants to “change” things and has “hope” for a great future. Is that really what Democrats want?

Based on the bumper stickers Democrats are buying, they are in a state of arrested development, not one of a positive tone for the country.

Take a look at some of the popular items being purchased on StickerGiant.com:

Liberal stickers

Democrat stickers

Obama supporter stickers

Disrespectful, mean spirited, ugly personal attacks. I “hope” they “change” - this is just more of the same from Democrats.

Obama on Hillary Making Assassination Comments

May 24, 2008 · Filed Under Ethics, News ·

Hillary Clinton made a controversial comment yesterday where she invoked the June 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy to explain her reasoning for remaining in the presidential race.

This comment unsurprisingly resulted in a deluge of negative reactions towards Clinton.

Her comments…

“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.”

This was in response to a question from editors of the Sioux Falls, S.D. Argus Leader on why she remained in the race for the Democratic nomination.

Hilary has apologized, and RFK’s son defended Hillary.

However, what didn’t get reported was that Obama has made his own assassination allusions regarding Hillary Clinton.

I am unable to find an instance where Obama apologized for his similar comment.

What About Your Friends, Obama?

There is an old saying, “Tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are.” I think most anybody would say this is a truism, except hysterical Obama supporters.

When you look at some of the friends of Obama, there is Reverend Wright, who got quite a bit of attention for a time.

He’s an unapologetic racist and hate-monger.

And how about some of Barack Obama’s other pals, who haven’t gotten so much attention to date?

There is also Reverend James Meeks, who is a delegate pledged to Obama, and a Pastor with a penchant for racist rants.

William Ayers, 1960s-era radical and leader of the Weather Underground, is also cozy with Obama. Obama doesn’t think this should matter, because he was a wee youngster when Ayers was committing acts of domestic terrorism.

Back in January during a debate, Hillary Clinton mentioned Obama’s friend and renowned Chicago slumlord Tony Rezko.

Who else is out there?

For anybody keeping a tally, Obama’s friends include racist hate mongers, terrorists, and slumlords.

But he’s such an eloquent reader of speeches, so let’s make him President.

Michelle Obama on Americans

May 22, 2008 · Filed Under Michelle Obama ·

Michelle Obama told a Baptist congregation that the United States is a country that is “just downright mean,” and that we are “guided by fear,” and we’re a nation of cynics, sloths, and complacents.

Are these an example of more words supposedly taken out of context from Michelle Obama?

If so, what is the context? I cannot find anything that makes these statements appear in a different light.

Just words. OK.

Carl Icahn: Obama Would Be Terrible President

May 22, 2008 · Filed Under Economy, Fiscal ·

Billionaire investor Carl Icahn says Barack Obama would be a “terrible” U.S. president, and that his election would bring higher interest rates and a loss of international confidence in the dollar.

“I don’t normally get involved in politics, but this time I am. “I don’t think Obama really understands economics,” commented Icahn an investors conference in New York last night.

So basically, Obama can offer change - he can help change the country to a state of accelerated inflation.

Hillary Isn’t Going Away Quietly

May 21, 2008 · Filed Under Democratic National Convention, Opinion ·

I’ve got to wonder if Hillary is running for 2012, Vice-President, or President.

Clearly everybody in the Democratic party isn’t sold on Obama with Hillary’s rout in Kentucky yesterday.

And she’s fighting to seat Florida’s and Michigan’s delegates at the Democratic National Convention in Denver this August, according to ABC News.

Personally, I think she is confident she can still win in the back room, and that’s got to have Obama losing sleep at night.

Elect Obama for a Second Term of Jimmy Carter

May 21, 2008 · Filed Under Economy, Fiscal, Foreign Policy, Jimmy Carter, Opinion ·

Democrats are constantly parroting their party line that McCain would be the equivalent of a third term for President Bush.

While McCain is markedly different from Bush in a wide assortment of ways, such as global warming, spending cuts and the estate tax, it is hard to look at Obama without seeing the peanut farmer from Georgia.

Obama supporters prefer to liken Obama to JFK. I wish. JFK was a hawk that supported tax cuts.

Some “Change We Can Believe In” like Obama’s “windfall profits tax”? How did that go during the Carter administration?

Obama runs around with his “tax cuts for the wealthy.” Check, another Carterism.

Obama thinks he can chat up the leaders of our enemies and work his magic. How did that Iran thing work out, Jimmy? There was the famous kiss between Carter and Brezhnev. Besides creeping out Leonid, what did Jimmy accomplish there?

Obama pledges to stop the research and deployment of a missile defense. Carter had the same grand idea. Reagan created the system and ended the Cold War.

Carteresque policies that Obama champions amounted to raised unemployment rates, interest rates and inflation rates into the double digits back in the 1970s.

Second verse, same as the first. Obama promises “change” to once again measuring things with a “Misery Index” and a country in a “malaise”.

Welcome Back, Carter.

Prayers for Ted Kennedy

May 20, 2008 · Filed Under News ·

Some things supersede politics. Say a prayer to Ted.

A cancerous brain tumor caused the seizure Sen. Edward M. Kennedy suffered over the weekend, doctors said Tuesday in a grim diagnosis for one of American politics’ most enduring figures. “He remains in good spirits and full of energy,” the doctors for the 76-year-old Massachusetts Democrat said in a statement.

They said tests conducted after the seizure showed a tumor in Kennedy’s left parietal lobe. Preliminary results from a biopsy of the brain identified the cause of the seizure as a malignant glioma, they said.

His treatment will be decided after more tests but the usual course includes combinations of radiation and chemotherapy.

Kennedy has been hospitalized in Boston since Saturday, when he was airlifted from Cape Cod after a seizure at his home.

Methinks Obama Doth Protest Too Much

May 20, 2008 · Filed Under Foreign Policy, News ·

Obama continues to make a fuss about the speech from President Bush last week in Israel.

President Bush said, “Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.”

I don’t see a reference to Obama or Democrats in those words, but Obama sure did.

Apparently, Senator Obama sees the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea as “terrorists and radicals”, because he agreed to meet with those folks “without preconditions” (based on comments he made in a debate in Charleston, SC on 7/23/07), and he read Bush’s words as a criticism of this plan.

Barack Obama called the Bush remarks “appalling” and “divisive” and presented himself as a victim.

“He accused me and other Democrats of wanting to negotiate with terrorists, and said we were appeasers. No different from people that appeased Adolf Hitler.”

Let’s be clear here. Bush never cited Obama or anybody else by name.

I would think Obama would also be averse to negotiations with terrorists and radicals, right?
