Footage of John McCain being interviewed as a bedridden prisoner during the Vietnam War has been released by the French national archive.
The video shows an emotional McCain describe how he was shot down, and passing on a message to his wife that he will get well and loves her.
Senator McCain was shot down on October 26, 1967 and the French television program Panorama aired the footage in January 1968.
