Barack Obama has been trying to minimize his relationship with terrorist William Ayers, but news this week of Obama and Rashid Khalidi further reinforces that Obama has a dangerous circle of friends.

Hugh Hewitt sheds light on the matter at Townhall.com

Khalidi is a Columbia professor and strong advocate for the Palestinians. He is a man of the left, and he is close to Obama and Ayers. Obama’s friendship with Khalidi would be unsettling to many supporters of Israel –if it was well known, which it isn’t.

WorldNetDaily further delves into Khalidi and his relationship with Obama…

The board of a nonprofit organization on which Sen. Barack Obama served as a paid director alongside a confessed domestic terrorist granted funding to a controversial Arab group that mourns the establishment of Israel as a “catastrophe” and supports intense immigration reform, including providing drivers licenses and education to illegal aliens.

The co-founder of the Arab group in question, Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, also has held a fundraiser for Obama. Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel, has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism and was labeled by the State Department as a terror group.

But don’t worry about these terrorists that launched Obama’s political career. According to Barack and his campaign, this stuff is just a distraction.

Barack Obama and Osama Bin Laden

Q: What do Barack Obama and Osama Bin Laden have in common?

A: They both have terrorist friends who bombed the Pentagon.

I wish I could say that was a joke. But Obama’s friend, William Ayers, is an unrepentant terrorist.

In a bit of ironic timing, the New York Times ran a feature on Ayers on 9/11/01, where Ayers stated, “I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.”

This is the same William Ayers who stated in 1970 that the Weatherman (his terrorist organization) philosophy was, ”Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that’s where it’s really at.”

In addition to bombing the Pentagon in 1972, William Ayers bombed New York City Police Headquarters in 1970 and the Capitol building in 1971.

Interesting friends you keep, Obama.

Obama and Terrorist Friend William Ayers

The Weather Underground bombed the Pentagon, the Capitol and the New York City Police Headquarters.

The leader of the Weather Underground was 1960s-era radical, William Ayers.

Ayers is also a friend and political campaigner for Barack Obama.

As recounted in the May 26, 2008 issue of The Weekly Standard

At the Philadelphia presidential debate in April, George Stephanopoulos asked Obama about his relationship with the Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers, who with his comrades bombed several government buildings in the 1970s. Obama protested that he knew Ayers as a neighbor and professor of English (actually, he teaches education) whose “detestable acts” when Obama was eight were no reflection on “me and my values.”

But as soon as it was her turn to speak, Obama’s opponent piled on. Ayers and Obama had served together on the board of the Wood Foundation in “a paid directorship position,” noted Clinton. It was legitimate to raise questions about their relationship, she insisted, since Ayers’s bombings had resulted in people’s deaths.

So let me get this straight, if somebody committed terrorism, but it was before they starting hanging out with Obama, it is irrelevant?

OK, just checking.
