Hooray for Class Warfare

I got an email to this site today from “Carol”…

My husband and I feel all of the people on Wall Street that received all the money for a bonus should have to pay it all back. After all that is our tax dollars they are spending. That is shamefull. They need to do some prison time who ever they are. That is fraud.

Carol, I hate to break it to you, but not all people on Wall Street who earn bonuses are the evil caricatures you see in the media.

Matt Damon vs. Bill Kristol

January 26, 2009 · Filed Under News · Comments

One of Barack Obama’s loyal supporters in Hollywood has been called out for his latest episode of liberal inanity in the media.

On Sunday afternoon Weekly Standard editor and New York Times columnist Bill Kristol — in an email exchange with Big Hollywood — agreed to debate Matt Damon on his Hollywood home turf after being informed the 38-year old actor ridiculed Kristol in an interview in the Miami Herald.

“He’s an idiot — he wrote that we should be grateful to George Bush because he won the Iraq war. We! Won! The! War!”

As the sponsor of the event, Big Hollywood is offering $100,000 to Damon (or to the charity or carbon credit of his choice) to publicly debate Kristol at a mutually agreed upon time, date and venue.

Are you up for the debate, Matt Damon? Beware: it could be tricky if all of your lines aren’t scripted.

Whites Finally “Embrace What is Right”

January 20, 2009 · Filed Under Inauguration · Comments

Reverend Joseph Lowery delivered the inauguration benediction for Barack Obama, which included a curious passage…

‘Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around… when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen’

We need to “work for that day… when white will embrace what is right”?

There is just so much positivity today, eh?

Dear Obama Supporters - Stay Classy

January 20, 2009 · Filed Under Inauguration · Comments

Supporters of Barack Obama at the inaugural mocked President Bush as he walked onto the stage, according to The Hill.

The crowd packed on the west side of the Capitol grounds serenaded President Bush in mocking fashion when he took to the inaugural stage alongside Vice President Dick Cheney.

“Nah nah nah nah, hey hey, good-bye,” a section of the crowd chanted.

The crowd packed immediately below the podium received Bush in stony silence when he took his seat on the stage surrounding the podium where Barack Obama was scheduled to take the oath office to become the 44th president of the United States.

I had hope they would change. Sorry unity, the Democrats don’t want you around.

Suggestion for Obama to Start Off on the Right Foot

January 18, 2009 · Filed Under Inauguration, Michelle Obama · Comments

The following message was submitted to the contact page at Obama2.com.

Dear President-Elect Obama,

Please consider becoming an immediate Leader of our country, even as your Presidency begins. You and Michelle could suddenly and quickly become heroes the world over.

You could announce that, in light of the current economic crisis in the United States and the rest of the world, you are cancelling the elaborate party scheduled for Tuesday to show the way to a better tomorrow for all Americans. Instead of continuing the tradition of excessive spending for the Inauguration, you would simplify events – and take the Oath of Office on the Capital Steps with good security, but a minimum of frills and elaborate trimmings.

YOU could lead the way for all Americans to begin to use some restraint, reduce unnecessary expenditures, and help the less fortunate among us. Then all of us could take real HOPE and expect CHANGE from the status quo. Cancel the fancy balls, the designer ball gowns, the bands, all the fluff, and give the rest of the donations to causes which you designate as the main priories of our nation.

If, instead, you go ahead with a week of celebration that costs $ 160,000,000.00, when President Bush was criticized for spending $40 million for his Inauguration, then you will follow down the same path of “Same O, Same O” and other Americans will hardly take you seriously as a leader in a new direction.

Thanks for considering.

It would send a great message to all who are impacted by the economic crisis. Chance of happening? Zilch.
