Drew Griffin of CNN interviewed Governor Palin earlier this week and completely mischaracterized the nature of a “quote” from the National Review’s Byron York during the interview.

Griffin: Yeah. Governor, you’ve been mocked in the press. The press has been pretty hard on you, the Democrats have been pretty hard on you, but also some conservatives have been pretty hard on you as well. The National Review had a story saying that, you know, I can’t tell if Sarah Palin is incompetent, stupid, unqualified, corrupt or all of the above.

The quote from National Review’s Byron York was actually a criticism of the negatively skewed press coverage of Palin.

Here is the passage from Byron York:

“Watching press coverage of the Republican candidate for vice president, it’s sometimes hard to decide whether Sarah Palin is incompetent, stupid, unqualified, corrupt, backward, or — or, well, all of the above.”

Rich Lowry of the National Review comments on the distortion by CNN in a post, “CNN’s Rank Dishonesty“.

Footage of John McCain being interviewed as a bedridden prisoner during the Vietnam War has been released by the French national archive.

The video shows an emotional McCain describe how he was shot down, and passing on a message to his wife that he will get well and loves her.

Senator McCain was shot down on October 26, 1967 and the French television program Panorama aired the footage in January 1968.

Polls Show Barack Obama Losing Ground

October 22, 2008 · Filed Under John McCain, News · Comments

Pollster John Zogby suggests that Barack Obama could win in a landslide, but the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Poll is not consistent with other polls coming out today.

RealClearPolitics is showing a 6.8% spread across a number of polls.

And the Associated Press-GfK poll shows Obama and McCain in a dead heat.

Perhaps the voters do care about cutting spending, eliminating earmarks, Bill Ayers, Reverend Wright, ACORN, Tony Rezko, etc.
